Brown v. Board of Education at 60

School choice creates immediate change for families but not always for communities or school systems. I know that the opportunity itself gives the child a chance but it also instills an idea within a community that is largely less than what is nationally except as needed for success. School systems need to be actively aggressive in developing the daily school life in such a way that schools are the community center of change and development. Being bussed or moved from one section of town to another seems counter to the great idea of community development and  progressive sustainably.
