Joshua was challenged by God to step out in faith and lead God’s people. He had never been a leader but had been with Moses during their journey back to and out of Egypt. Joshua and Moses entered into a mentorship but didn’t realize it at the time. When Joshua was given the position of leadership for the challenges that lay ahead in the promise land, no one else was equally prepared for the role. However, he was scared of the risk. The risk of leading can be overwhelming but God’s promise is a reminder of His dedication and of our faith. When we are challenged by Him, we are not alone and need to be willing to step out in faith and take the risk He has for us.
